changes + your opinion

I think it might be time for a change.

I’ve been juggling both writing for this blog and church marketing sucks for a bit now. That juggling increased now that my position of Director at CFCC is official. Often that means having to decide where a post will go, what to write for one and what to write for the other. In doing so neither has a very unique voice, sure it’s both me but why come here and there.

While one option would be to ditch Holy Cow a Blog for Church Marketing Sucks (which definitely has more readership), I don’t think I’m ready to do that.

But what about a change?

What if I wrote more about Holy Cow here? While that may still mean that I’ll talk about church communications here it would mean it would tie more directly to what we’re doing here. Maybe it would mean showing our process of a logo, talk about serving the church as a business who wants to be a partner, the ups and downs of owning a studio…that sort of thing. The writing at Church Marketing Sucks would be more general in nature, this would be more specific to Holy Cow.

What do you think?

What do you want to read?

I want to hear from you…I’ll throw out a carrot by picking one reply, at random, and send him or her a slinky. I know, not very flashy…but I think everyone should own a slinky, because they’re fun, I think they spark creativity and they show how sometimes the spectacular ideas just happen.

I subscribe to both blogs and have really found myself skimming through the CFCC one and actually reading the holy cow blog. I really like this blog because it tends to feel more personal. Either way both are good reads. I would be interested to read about the process the process in which you work with churches.

CONGRATS! Woo Hoo! Director of CFCC! Way to go Michael!

Don;t dump this blog — here I hear the voice of Michael my friend, whom I haven’t worked with in far far too long.

I like the idea of focusing this blog on what you’re working on and the thought process that goes into it. And how you deal with the frustrations that we all confront.

Hey, I have a couple of things to get your input on. Let’s talk.

    again, congratulations

I love the idea you presented. I look forward to reading this blog because it is a little more personal. I want to pick your brain. I have never met you but I know you would be my friend. I always love reading what you write, wherever that is. You are an inspiration to me and push me further with my ministry and my design. Please keep up writing. Congrats on the new job!!

Wow. Thanks Jennifer, that comment means more than you know, it is an absolutely blessing to know that I have made an impact on your ministry. Thank you. Let’s make sure we do meet someday soon.

For the record, my position at CFCC as Director isn’t a job really…more position within the organization. Everything I do for CFCC, The Lab, Church Marketing Sucks is all volunteer.
