Bring Home Armon & Elmise
The Haiti tragedy has hit us all. I have been so thrilled to see so many people reach out to make a difference.
This is what being the church is about.
I know there are many ways to give and while I understand you don’t need another, I have to share this real need that hits close to home.
My son’s mom (yes, also my ex-wife but she’s so much more my son’s mom than she is my ex-wife that I hate calling her that) has spent the last year working on the adoption of these two Haitian children (brother & sister).
The first great news is that they’ve received word that both children are alive. The tragedy has kicked their timeline into full gear. The other great news is they’ve been given word that the children can come home now (they could get word any moment that they’re on the way). They’ve been blessed by her sister with the flight down there (arrives in FL) but there’s still paperwork and fees that have to be completed before they can bring them home. Here’s a video of the effects of the Earthquake to the orphanage.
That’s where I’m hoping you’ll consider helping. Will you consider helping bring these two children home out of the awful devastation they are currently in? It’s a big number, quite honestly so big that I’ll be amazed if we can just at least make a dent in it.
100% of this goes directly to Rob & Jessica Archer, and 100% of this will go towards the final adoption expenses. Here’s a local news story about their adoption and the struggles with this tragic event.
