I love this! What a great way to tell the story and use billboards in a new, and even interactive way. Imagine a church putting up a billboard, next to a Hooters billboard, or better yet a Strip Joint billboard that said something like “We love you girls.” , “Come as you are.” or something along those lines?

I love this idea so much, that we will design it for free. We’ll come up with some great copy, killer creative…all free. You just have to be willing to step out and do something bold (and have some billboard space).

Anyone up for it?

    You know…if someone puts up a billboard for strippers or Hooter’s girls to come as they are, that the attendance of men in that church will increase – not to mention the lustful thoughts.

    Sad to say, some church WILL be stupid enough to do something like this all in the name of recognition and TV time. Please don’t encourage any more “seeker churches who are being relevant” to cross the line! : )

    I’d agree with you if the church is only doing it for TV time, but if they are doing it to get the message out, and if that message rings true then I think it’s great.

    I look at the Jesus Loves Porn Star bibles, if it were just a gimmick it’s a stupid idea. But XXXchurch truly loves and cares about porn stars. Like I said today at

    This is great. Your strip-joint placement poses an interesting paradigm: could billboards be more effective based on patrons of a nearby establishment rather than drivers? I mean, you are a little preoccupied when driving.

    Here’s the thing that makes the BMW billboard work: it’s a direct response to the Audi board. The genius to making this work in the church world is to find a message that you can directly play off, then quickly do some awesome creative work (which you excell at) and then have the budget to move immediately.

    I love the idea… keep us updated.
