Good post. I was an art director at one and a photographer at another of two large TV ministries in the 70's and 80's and what a huge difference between them. One wanted the absolute best work you could produce...thank God I worked there first and got their work ethic. The other wanted to dumb everything down and would say something was "too slick" if it looked nicely done.

They had a term called "piously shoddy" to describe the look they wanted. They felt they had to appear that they did not want to spend a lot of money on producing their magazine, fund raising materials, etc. because no one would give if it appeared they had money to spend on anything of quality. Bunch of losers they were, their spirituality was about of the same quality as the work they strove to produce.

I may have not been the most talented at the profession God chose for me but He always instilled in me to do the very best with the resources provided.
