Seth beat me to it!

tribes seth godinOk, so I was going to write a post about Seth Godin’s new book Tribes as it relates to the church and the “tribes” within the church. While you can take many things from Seth’s various books and apply them to the church, this one could have been published by Zondervan.

I was then going to impress you (or at least try) by telling you that I received an advanced copy from Seth.

Then I was going to bribe you with my extra copy of Tribes to help solicit comments (because you all read the blog, but seldom comment). You know, leave a comment and I’ll choose one randomly for their free copy.

And Seth beat me to it. Well, nearly.

While I was pre-ordering the book and receiving my advance copy from Seth Godin himself…he was giving the audio version away on iTunes for .98 cents! Sometimes the early bird does get the worm, but sometimes the bird that sleeps in gets the same worm for less. Hmmm…

Anyhow, do yourself a favor go download the book and listen to it and then come back here and let’s talk about the tribes within the church. And when you leave your comment, let me know if you’re interested in the relic version we call a book and I’ll give away one of my copies (or maybe even both since I also bought the iTunes version).

    This blog actually turned me on to Seth's blog and I've been following it ever since—great nuggets of wisdom on a daily basis. I picked up the audiobook for 95¢ on iTunes. Score.

    I read Seth's blog fairly often, and have wanted to get a copy of this book. Though I'll probably grab the .98 iTunes version I echo the above comment about making it up. So, if you want to send one of your copies to a poor seminary student I'd be grateful.
  • I prefer the real thing (relic vs. audio). Then I can mark it up with notes and highlighting and it makes me feel really smart.
  • Just bought my copy. Congrats on the new addition, btw. Can't wait to check it out. Currently finishing "Crazy Love" and starting on "It" and "Tribes" this week. I read some of the live blogs from his session at Catalyst and I'm looking forward to digging into it more. I'm also always down for one more relic for the collection. ;-)
